Fuel Pump Anomaly

Thought I'd share this one. We had a 900 that was having fuel pump problems. So we removed the pump and tested. It seems somewhat slow and so we removed the pump from another parts car and the assembly was different, but the pump was new. So we used the original assembly and installed the new pump. The original assembly had been replaced once already so it had a new rated fuel line with clamp. Swapped all the pertinent parts and reinstalled in the car and viola, the problem was exactly the same. We snooped and sniffed around at various potential causes with no luck. Any guesses? We pulled the new pump assembly out and found that the replacement fuel line had a slight cut and only when it was under pressure did it open and release the gas back into the tank. We were basically pumping about 2". How's that for an odd one. This all stemmed from the fact that I didn't have an inline pressure gauge to test at the engine. Does anyone know of a good tester?
