Probly works but looks precarious and like they were hard to get into place.

What I would use are SAE 1/2"-13 (NC) nuts, located at the 3 rivets attaching the linking straps from the forged pressure plate to the pressed-steel outer bell of the pressure plate assembly.

I'll give you a word picture, LIT:

Remove every other one of the six pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts, loosen the other three most of the way, then lift pressure plate off the flywheel just enough to pop those 3 nuts in, right where the rivet heads hold them in place. (You'll have to turn your motor over some to get at all of the bolts; I kind of poke it around with a big screwdriver dug into the flywheel teeth.) Then re-tighten the three remaining pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts, all the way down (no need to torque them home tho) and as you do it jacks the forged pressure plate up, and depresses the spring fingers in its center, letting you slip the special Saab holding tool, or your length of bucket handle or choke cable housing or 3/16" ready rod, bent into the correct diameter circle, into place around the center of the pressure plate, holding those fingers depressed.

Now remove the final three pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts, and unbolt clutch slave from tranny, and then tuck the whole package tight together and remove at once clutch disk, pressure plate, throwout bearing and slave.
