JR, yes, it's hot here in Dallas. Not fit for human habitation much of the year. And definitely not Saab country. The is an eff one fiddy kind of place. My AC is working but the compressor is spitting grease under the hood so I know it won't work for long.
On which switch setting does your fan work? If the fan only works at the highest switch setting, I think that's an indication that the resistor pack is burned out. This can occur when a fan motor is worn and drawing too much current through the wires. I'm guessing that this is your problem. I've never had it happen on my Saabs, but it's happened to me on other cars.
Tom French in Irving, or T&M here in Dallas could probably fix this quickly. But you might need both the resistor pack and a new blower motor.
