Amelia, I've use to use the top brand oil in all my cars. In the last five years I been using the brand "Super Thec." from Wal-Mart. The Super Thec, oil filter are also better than say, Fram. With the oil specs. on the back of the oil bottle you'll find that the same oil specs. are on the cheaper (Priced) oil as the expensive brand and are just as good. You'll save quite a bit of dollars also. Change at 3,000 mile and your car should run for many more years. Use the 10-30w oil in both the engine and transmission. Don't be fooled into the "higher mileage" oils. Stay with what the factory recommends. It's great to hear from you again and I can only hope the decision on your recent purchase of you latest Saab was a good one. Don't forget to add a bottle of "Thecron" for the fuel system every three months to keep the system working properly. Just my thoughts and experience with my cars.
