'91 900S Brake Fluid / ABS lights, help.

About a year ago I had to R&R my right outer CV joint. When I ordered parts, I didn't realize that there were two differnt ABS rings, coarse and fine. I received fine, and installed it without even noticing the difference in ABS rings. Well ,needless to say, I immediately had an ABS light on most of the time, and had to develop a very unique touch on the pedal to overcome the confused ABS system. My intention was to tear it down in a few weeks and swap the ABS rings. Well, life events conspired against me and I've driven an entire year, about 10,000 miles with the wrong ring.

This weekend I finally did the work and installed the correct, coarse ring. I also replaced the front brake pads, and bled the brakes.

Now, about 75% of the time that I touch the brake pedal, the BRAKE FLUID light flashes, followed by the ABS light flashing. These are always in sequence, and are on for less than 1 second. My braking is very much improved, but occasionally will have a pulsating studder just as I come to a stop.

So, did I damage something in the braking system by driving so long with the wrong ABS ring? Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks, Paul
