First off, can you do your own work....? If so, the seat is pretty easy to fix, as is valve cover leak. The bumper extension is a bit of a hassle, but not bad. Windshield around $250 if you can't live with the crack. I pulled out my AC, after all, its a convertible. Additional stuff....does the car have a manual transmission? I believe the automatics are more problamatic (and less fun to drive!). Does the current owner have any records of maintenance/oil changes? Is the body straight and rust free....check at the front A-arm connections and the wheel wells. Anyway, two years ago I paid $4,000 for my 94TC. It is a hoot to drive and well worth every penny....plus, I believe it has held value and I could probably sell it for $4,000 today. $3,000 seems like it might reasonable but hard to tell without looking. (And check the classifieds on this site to see if there are comparable cars/prices.)
