I used crimp-on spade lugs to adapt the wiring, pushing the crimp-on end down on the fuel pump connectors and then plugging in the wiring. Seems to work well, the spade lugs grip real tightly.
The used pump is working but seems a bit on the noisy side, at least with the access cover off and trunk empty. I'll have to put everything back together and see how it sounds.
Anyhow, I took another stab at removing the bad pump cartridge from its housing, and it still doesn't want to budge. I'm looking at this used pump as just a temporary measure, so any info on getting the pump cartridge out (even if just "pull harder!) would be greatly appreciated!
