oh you are going to like this one. Get a length of new vacuum line. Get a single edge razor blade. slice the vacuum line several times, get about six or so slices as you will get better as you go and we need four pieces, must be whole pieces and not broken.
using a straight blade screwdriver you can go in above the center vent and twist a little and you lever the vent out. it's a little scary at first but it does come out. note that there are "V" shaped channels that end at the point with a round depression where the vent posts will reside. Also see the flap in the open area, it is the one that just keeps closing. take a large pair of needle nose pliers and that same screwdriver you just used, this one is a bit tricky, open the flap flat and use the pliers to hold and then twist them to flex the flap so that you are basically making it bow to come out, use the screwdriver as needed to help it and then remove. there is a lever there you can leave it on. at the end points of the flap push on one of the vacuum line washers you make, installationn is the reverse of removal, this is the hardest part... take your time and it will eventually submit! on the vent put one vacuum washer on each post and push it home. while you are at it if the outside vents won't stay pointed where you left them, you can do the vent thing again.
Enjoy!
