This symptom could be caused by many things. It could be a fault inside the head unit that is causing that channel to fail, faulty speaker, some bad wiring/connections...or gremlins.
Suggestions: start with checking the head unit by pulling it out and swapping the speaker wiring of the left/right speakers, then see if the left speaker (now on the right channel) goes out. If it does, your wiring is probably ok, the head unit is having a problem. If the right speaker continues to cut out after swapping the channels, your wiring to that speaker is suspect. Check the speaker wire for any breaks, loose fittings etc. Check the connections at the head unit and at the the speaker terminals. You can run new, continuous wire from the head unit to the speaker. To check if the speaker itself is failing, swap the left/right speakers and see if the "new" right speaker cuts out--if it does, then most likely bad wiring (assuming you've already eliminated the head unit as the cause). If the original right speaker cuts out on the new channel--probably a bad speaker then (pretty rare but possible, unless a subwoofer or you drive your system hard).
Hope this gives you some starting points, good luck. Car audio diagnostics can be fun but challenging (frustrating).
