I think you would be happy with eCodes. They have a much more focused light pattern and H4bulbs are available in several intensities as well as colors. I like 100/90 watt super white. The eCode lenses with these bulbs offer much improved visibility without blinding oncoming drivers. My first 85 900 had eCodes and I was hooked. I recently bought a set of Chinese knock-off eCodes for my 87 vert for about $200 and so far they are just fine. They are exactly the same as Hellas as far as I can tell except they don't come with the back caps. The original Hella caps fit if you can find them. I searched for a long time and found a set of eCodes for my 91 9000. Same impression. I bought a set for my son's 96 Aero. I like them. Dan at Road Tested Saabs in Indianapolis
