obviously your car is equipped with anti ;lock brakes Posted by vvack0matic [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Whats wrong with my brakes, Sarah, Fri, 18 Jul 2008 13:31:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
and it sound like, just a guess here.
sounds like you took your car to brakes r, us and well they truly screwed your car up.
ASAP find a reputable saab shop (independent owner) and have them do a full brake fluid flush on you car.
sounds like who ever done the job induced small amount of air in the main anti brake thing a ma bob',
this simple little bit of air sounds like who ever did your brakes did induced it on purpose, just because the problem still exists after you brought the car back.
with air in the main abs unit it will ultimately ruin it, leaving you to have to replace it, and it costs up around 1300 bux to replace it (the a.b.s. brain thing a ma' bob)
(when you have the new fluid flushed make sure to tell them to use dot 3 brake fluid only)
now it is hard to find a shop owner that uses dot 3
most will use dot 3&4 mixed.
even though the car calls for dot 3 i am using dot 3&4 mix and have had no probs.
however i do not have anti lock brakes if i did you bet i would only use dot 3 brake fluid.
(either air was induced or a new fluid was used like dot 5 or transmission oil)
(transmission oil can be and is used for break fluid, it costs less for a huge amount of fluid)
that main thing a ma bob a.b.s is like the brain i cant think of the name,.. because my minds turning to dust
if for some freakish-ed reason your car dose not have a.b.s. the comments still stand about the fluid flush.
later and be safe
