sorry for the short answer before, was in about three windows... now I'm "alone" lol.

Well the dash is one of those things that takes a little skill, a little luck, and a *lot* of patience. If you are getting frustrated and it's fighting you.... go take a walk or something... lol

You should start by knowing the radio code, then removing the negative terminal from the battery, secure it so it doesn't accidentally flop back and make contact (slip a glove over the terminal).

Then take the radio out and remove the steering wheel. You can do it with the wheel on, but it's so much easier with it out of the way. BUT FIRST, get a sharpie and put a mark from inner splines to the outer splines on the wheel, do it slowly and be precise, this keeps the steering wheel straight later, right?

There are four screws from the bottom of the dash that hold the fasica in place, they have little scribe marks on them, the are all different!, be mindful of what goes where (there is a little trick, see if you notice the pattern?).

TELL ME YOU HAVE A BENTLEY!

Several gotchas and things to fix during this entire thing. To Fix: the rheostat on the left near the headlights almost always spins in the hole, either the nut isn't tight OR the rheostat is trashed. Fix it and you will be happy to use it later. After you remove the radio DIN box, there are three wires for the bulbs and several female connectors on wires that plug onto the male spades that are part of the air distribution and fan speed and all that. If you have a Digital camera this is a great place to take lots of pictures for "now where did that go?" questions later.

I'm sure that must be a write up on doing the entire thing. Townsend or? Anyone else chime in?
