With car in neutral, try jumping +12 volts to the spade lug terminal on the starter, where the push-on wire comes from the ignition and actuates the solenoid.
If starter springs to life you know it's working.
Then test that wire; it should show +12V while someone is turning the ignition key to start.
You can temporarily use a starter bump switch with clip-on ends to work the starter instead of your key switch.
Or there are terminals in the octal socket underneath the fuse cover that will trigger the starter. I'm not sure which two; Swedecar knows and it may be in the Bentley - - 1 & 3??
