Hi,

Scary at first taking the elevator to the basement to the parts department. Saab parts man gave me the gasket for the engine coolant drain! Said it would cost more to take the time to write up the invoice for it. LOL

I asked about a new rubber hose that was connected to the lower heater core hose. There is a clamp in between the two and it is leaking. It runs parallel to the fuel line but lower under the intake manifold close to the head.

SAAB man printed out the same detailed sheets as eeuroparts and I told him with certainty that it was not on the diagrams.

Does anyone know what the lower heater core hose is connected to. One side goes into the car and the other side????
I have the new lower heater core hose. Would like both.

While I was there I saw the new showroom SAAB. Black tinted windows, on black. Sweet! Never seen a new SAAB before. It was fun to find some of the same similarities to my 900 turbo 1991. They also gave me the new accessory catalog to take with.

Now all I need is an independent SAAB mechanic that I can trust.
I would rather walk then get bamboozeled again. lol

Is there a way to test a garage? Or an independent SAAB mechanic? Should I just ask for references?
