yes that was a fun thread, if you don't have ABS then no connector under the back seat. Still want to get my brothers car back and do some sleuthing.
as to the cruise control, it is driven by a vacuum pump that is up all the way in the front in the left pocket, it's black and has two fittings on it, one usually white and *not populated* and one black with a vacuum line on it - it usually leaks and won't hold speed, it is routed all the way back to the firewall and goes under the fuse block, you take the left hand speaker off and you can look through the windshield and see the metal chain (like for garage lights, little silver balls in a chain) that go from a bellows to the gas pedal. You want to make sure that the vacuum line is tight and attached at both ends, sometimes there is a T or Y connector before it goes thru the firewall. I've talked a couple of guys through this so bet you can DIY too!
