There are two styles of E-codes for the C900. The early ones are large, and when installed, the glass is nearly vertical. These have a glass lens, metal reflector and plastic housing. The later ones, for 1987 and later cars slope considerably more than do the early ones. They should be the same general shape in the lens as the headlamps on your car. These have a glass lens, plastic reflector and a plastic housing.
If you have US headamps, then you will need to do some work to adapt your wiring harness for the H4 bulbs that the E-codes take. Rallylights (google them) sells the connectors you need to make the connection. I would advise against cutting the old connector off, as I don't believe there is enough wire to go into the headlamp housing properly.
There are a few items that often don't come with the E-codes that you really should have. 1) the large, round cover for the bog hole in the back 2) the rubber boot for the wires where they enter the housing though the smaller opening 3) the angle bracket that supports the outboard lower edge of the headlamp.
Good luck!
PS: If you post some pics, I'm sure someone can ID them for you.
