you have a couple of choices. First a couple of questions, is the end of the new tube flared any or is the outside diameter the same all the way to the open end? Is the new tube straight from end to end or does it have a "bow" in it. As you might guess, I don't think I've ever seen a brand new replacement one.
If it's straight, and moreso if the end is the same diameter, I'd release the original from the clip at the top, pull the dip stick out, sometimes the filler opening bit at the top will pull off the tube, and then rip the old one out (being careful of surrounding stuff of course) and get to the bare copper barbed on one end threaded on the other end. It's either a 1 and 1/16 or a 1 and 1/8 socket works well if all the plastic is gone.
So take it out and fit into the new tube, perhaps some boiling water to soften the end up... FIRST DO THIS ONE THE OLD ONE, cut the end square to use as a test... only a test... If this works then replicate on the new piece, if not try a heat gun, again on the old piece.
Once you have it in you can just "screw" it in holding the top. being a straight piece makes it so much easier... no sealer or thread locker needed, just a snug twist at the end.
cheers
