Can you get the entire car for $200 if not pay a little more and get it all. The spare parts will pay for the entire car. You will need the ecu system and other items, knock sensor, air filter canister intercooler. You know just lok in the engine compartment and see all the space a non turbo has in comparision. I have always owned 900 Turbo's since 1983. (5 speeds) bought a turbo aut vert (1993) then a 94 vert non turbo auto for girlfriend0 then a 94 vert auto parts car then another 92 vert auto turbo to rebuild then a 2two 2.1 non turbo hatch back and sedan 5 speeds to replace the 89 I am parting due to dents and rust. I have been surprised by the pep of the 2.1 5 speeds. I used to say if it isn't a Turbo it isn't a saab, but the ease of working on the 2.1's and all the extra room and the fact I took the "new" 2.1 5 speed on a 400 mile rd trip to Ohio to get SPG parts and cruised for 40 miles at a stretch at 95 mph on interstate and 85 mph across corn country, made me realize the 2.1 is a fine engine. the only way I'd replace my 2.1 with one of my 2.0 turbo spares is if the 2.1 block, crank, or some problem caused me to have to remove the 2.1.I changed my mind after getting 2.1 5 speeds. I'm not racing, so for ease of maintenance(sp)I am staying with the 2.1. They are saabs too. Realize this is just MY opinion.
