Since we had a long reasonably warm weekend, I decided to try leatherique on my 93 900S (182K miles) dark grey interior leather. On Saturday AM, I slathered on the rejuvenator oil using about 1/2 of the 16 oz bottle on the seats, steering wheel, and leather shifter boot. Some of the surfaces are vinyl, some are leather. The vertical band around the bottom of the front seats is vinyl for example. I just used my hands to put the oil on. Smelled disgusting. I buttoned up the car and let it sit.

On Sunday AM, I applied another quarter of the bottle. Some of the oil soaked in, some had not. Still smelled gross and now I had a sticky oily mess everywhere. Buttoned up the car again and let it sit. Inside temp both days got nice and hot - it was in the mid 70s and sunny outside, probably hit into the 90s inside the vehicle.

On Monday AM, I broke out the Prestine Clean. Most of the oil had soaked in but I still had a pretty goey mess everywhere. I put a sprayer on the top of the cleaner (one from a windex bottle fit) and proceeded to spray and clean. I wore gloves with the cleaner since some had reported dry skin after using it. The Prestine Clean did a nice job removing the oily goey mess. The rags definitely removed a lot of dirt - I could see dark smudges on the MF cloths as I cleaned. I went through about 7 or 8 small cloths to get it all off. At first, I was concerned some of the finish was coming off - the cloths had quite a bit of black on them.

After it all dried, the leather looked great!! I was actually very impressed with how much better the leather looked considering what a mess I had on Sunday. I can't compare this with other cleaners since this is the first dedicated leather cleaning system I've used but I will say this was worth the cost and time. If you have a couple of days to let the car sit, this stuff works well. Some of the leather softened up a bit. The really hard stuff on the headrests in the back seat was a little softer but will probably take another application or two to recover from all the sun damage.

I'd use this again probably once a year or every other year. In between big cleanings, the Prestine Clean should do a good job maintaining the finish. FYI, I have no affiliation with the manufacturer, or any other manufacturer for that matter (I work for the gov).
