My 93 2.1 has a new HG, timing chain, recent fuel pump. The compression is around 200 on all four. I don't have any driving history before the HG. I got the car with a stripped pinion gear. I did the HG and chain while the drive train was out for a tranny swap. Since it has been on the road it has not run quite right. Doesn't have the zip and throttle response that my son's 93 2.1 has. Nothing bad-starts right up and runs smooth. Even on highway trips I get no better than 23mpg. I pulled the valve cover and double checked the cam gear alignment. At idle the O2 sensor runs .1-.7 volts on a Blue Point multimeter. I believe that to be running lean. Any thoughts?
