If so, just tear heck out of the speaker panel and get it out, remove screws with mini Vise Grips, replace speaker panel with one from a junker.
As I recall the Torx handle that came with car barely fits in these against the windshield glass. Try pulling its bits out and fitting them in by hand - - maybe your angle isn't quite perfect.
Are you sure there are screws in there? Maybe your bit is spinning in an empty hole? They sit down and stay just fine with no screws at all and some prior owner might have left them out.
