where "~" (tilda-sign) stands for "approximately" and Franklin is an international measure of one Franklin banknote. This sounds good for me (fin crisis, you know... And the New Year/Christmas is coming... there're only losses and no profit).

My theory... Actually there can't not be a single one since I don't know what time it is and have no clue how stuff works. I mean I can certainly tell you lot's of stories about electrical gremlins and engine mysteries but when it comes to transmission I give up. That's you area not mine :)

But I've got good ears (7 years of piano trainings, you know; sorry I don't play guitars). And I've got some general tech background so I know what bearings and gears look like and what are they for and how do they act with each other.
Whining noise. First of all I have heard this noise on my previous C900 aka Flop and I can't mix it up with any other noise. It's definitely a bearing. And moreover I can't express this but I can imagine a bearing making this noise. 80% (but not 100%) it's a tapered bearing although I can imagine a simple ball-bearing making this noise too.
Crunching sound... Darn, I wish I could record it and post it here but I've swapped my tires already and now Valkyrie is pretty much noisy car. But I see and feel it like metal part scratching another metal part and one of these parts should be a gear.

So basing on the ... I don't know... say input above and looking at the 1st two pics (where we don't see your face :)) I started to suspect the pinion bearings, the bearing in the middle (right by the 4th gear, item #15 in the Eeuro pic) and the front tapered bearings on the shaft having the lower sprockets. Probably some parts of the 4th gear or the 3-4 synchro are worn that allow the 4th gear to have some play and scratch its neighbors.

That's where I was just before your post.

Zig

P.S.
Regarding loosen nuts:
Loosen wheel-bearing nut leads to very funny sound. Just like an old plane flying in 50-100 feet right above you. And it was the stock FACTORY nut on the FACTORY CV-joint that went loose...
Trolls also make the mistakes from times to times :)
