Stumble / cut out at low throttle

Hi everyone!
My 87 SPG has the hiccups.
The car will stumble at very low throttle.
Seems to do it when the car is warmed up but not when it's cold.
It idles a bit low ~750 when cold and high ~1000-1200 after warmed up.
I've cleaned and tried 2 different AIC's.
Cleaned and checked the AMM.
Neither changed.
The wire from the distributor is in good shape and apparently replaced the connector by the previous owner.
Basic tune up was done about 10k ago and the problem has been off and on since I got it 14 months ago.
The other day it wouldn't start and I think it was no fuel.
pulled the ign. amplifier relay and heard the injectors click.
Made sure the ign control module wasn't all gunked up.
Then tried to start again w/o success.
Then remembered a trick on my old 82 turbo, so I floored it cranked it for 15 seconds or so until is started. The car had about 3 gallons of fuel in it. Pump isn't making weird noises.
No starting problem since.
The bucking is getting annoying though.
Any suggestions?
