you turn the key? If so this is a great easy and safe way to fix this. Cost about $20 and a couple of hours of your time.
So, if you haven't already found the problem or launched into another fix... there is a contact on the solenoid above the large gauge red wire that goes both to the alternator towards the driver, and also goes towards the fans and wraps around the clutch area and goes to the battery. The contact on the solenoid has a yellow wire with a shield on it that is plugged into a spade on the solenoid. pull that connector to reveal the spade. MAKE a jumper of about 14-16 gauge with a suitable female connector to plug onto the solenoid. the wire needs to long enough to go to the battery, DO NOT FOOL AROUND with the positive connector on the solenoid, go to the battery, you can go across the top of the engine. Engine in Neutral, brake on, helper behind the wheel with foot on the brake only! KEY OFF. take the bare end of the wire and touch to the positive terminal on the battery, the engine should crank.
Remove the jumper and replace the original connector on the solenoid.
The next time you can't get the car to start (and you are ok with getting a little dirty) AND you have a helper... Repeat the above. If it cranks. Then do it again with the KEY ON. the car should start no problems, you can pull the jumper and NOT replace the yellow wire until you stop later.
If this happens as written above, email me and I will send you detailed instuctions on a permanent work around. email to thesaabguy at cox.net.
