saab86,
No kidding, the only other make I know of that has the same lug pattern and dimensions is the old Triumph like the TR3 (I only know this cause I have one). Hey why are you going to buy new rims from a tire place? Salvage yards are full of perfectly good Saab 900 rims and if you change over to some alloy rims you'll lower your unsprung weight and make your car zippier. I may be parting two cars this winter and getting stuck with 8 more alloy 900 rims is not a great thrill for me. There will be 900 rims laying around 50 years after the last 900 bites the dust. Just be sure to get pre-'88 rims for your '86, they changed the lug pattern slightly in '88. You can tell the later rims by the fifth hole which is for the locating pin. Get 4 or 5 at a salvage yard with an understanding that if your tire installer says that any are bent you can exchange them for better ones. You'll save money and have genuine Saab wheels. Good luck
