where to start?

check that you have fuel delivery by running the pump as in bentley or on these boards

check and replace fuel filter

check that injectors are delivering properly by removing bellows and raising air intake meter (again bentley will help)

check that your timing, is correct your plugs are not fouled and your wires are properly connected and in good shape

check that all wiring grounds at front and on block are bright and clean

check that all connections at ALL sensors at or near thermostat - there will be three of them - WUR, and two coolant sensors - are clean and bright

check every single electrical connection in the engine bay ignition related and FI related- scrape and clean, scape and clean

remove and clean all relays in primary and secondary holders

clean igniter on left front side of engine bay near ELCD

bypass ignition PULSE amplifier relay - see site and bentley for details

let us know what turns up after you have done these initial things

you can use this site to verify details on each of the items above

I have CIS and not much can go wrong with the actual injection system since its mechanical - its all the electrical connections that get fouled and cause poor or no start conditions

now your fuel distributor may be fouled - but let's deal with the more complex problems later

keep it simple
