Brian, I had one 900 on which all the nylon pieces of the headlight adjusting system had aged to powder and were crumbling away.
I also had a couple headlight buckets that were smashed but had good adjuster parts.
I swapped them all over.
As I recall it I hacksawed and cracked away the parts of the black bucket to get the nylon pieces out entire.
The adjusting knob on the screw presses on or off: The shaft is splined at the end where it goes, or knurled and splined at same time, more accurately.
I'd suggest running a power wire brush on the threads of the screw at either side of the nylon block it runs through, then oiling, before trying to unscrew it, if it's rusty.
The white nylon poppet socket pieces for the back of the headlights themselves are I think still available at dealer and probably Eeuro or other source, as also the brittle black sockets they pop into, which, once adjuster is popped out, and white nylon insert, can be unscrewed, fastened to headlight with SS Torx-head screws.
POSSIBLY the big nylon pieces, that have the threads in them, are also available? I'd be worried about trying to recreate them, or the threads in them, with JB Weld; it would probably bond to the screw permanently. How to know where the correct position is?
But maybe you can plug them with JB Weld, drill them, then tap new threads into the JB Weld?
If you're near any good junkyards it might be easiest and cheapest to see what's available there.
