The common wisdom with a 99 or C900 is to always change your clutch slave whenever you replace any other clutch components. That way, of any one of the three components fails, it WON'T be the one under the clutch cover...
In the past, the cheapest way to get clutch parts was a kit from Saab which included everything from the pilot bearing to the slave. Since you have to take them all out to remove any one, why put back any used parts?
Anyway, yes, it is fairly typical that they all go in close succession. Part of this is the typical pedal-pumping bleed procedure is bad for the master and the slave, and potentially bad for the hose. Also remember that all three have probably been seeing the same fluid for the same timespan, which eats away at the rubber bits. If you can, pressure bleed the clutch.
It's all due to the weakest link. Same thing is typical of coolant hoses, though not so much on Saabs. Change the one that leaks, and then shortly thereafter, the next weakest one leaks and so on...
