Control arm bushing angle

I replaced the upper control arm bushings without pulling the control arm out of the car. I did not remove or compress the suspension spring. My question is how do I get the 62 degree angle with regard to the bracket as specified by the Bentley? Am I correct in assuming the idea is to not have any rotational torgue or the bushing while the suspension is at rest? Will simply tightening the control arm bushing nuts while the car is resting normally on the ground create the proper angle?
