you should have the check valve on any turbo variant, including the 9000 turbos too. It has been shown that it *can*, not will, can at times on some cars lead to presurizing the crank case with the net net of forcing oil past the oil seal in the turbocharger and into the exhaust side, thereby causing oil smoke out the exhaust. You won't see this until the car is warmed up, so if you start and go you may not even notice it. It has been shown that in those cases simply adding the checkvalve and running for another day to burn off any residual cleans things up. Besides, they came that way and I yield to the Swedish engineering, or use the American phrase, "if it ain't broke don't fix it".
