Recently went to change a couple of bulbs in a 1993 saab 900t conv.
Was doing it rushed and accidentally threw a single filament bulb into the tail light that requires the double filament. Anyway this had the effect of instantly killing my dash lights (instrument illumination only) - The taillights are all fine with the right bulb in , but the dash light remain out - checked the fuses and dash bulbs - bulbs themselves look fine. Anyone with any ideas/things to check first. Did some searching on common dash light problems and came across the rheostat ground and maybe the taillight cluster grounds? But would this go bad with what I'm assuming was a temporary short with the wrong bulb in? Anywhere else to check? Thanks for any help on this.
