My SPG is my 10th Saab. All 99's and 900 classic since 1979. We have currently 4 900 classic on the road.(Between my 2 college boys, my wife and myself) I have gone through a lot of ball joints over the years, as you can imagine. I have never noticed an obvious difference between any of the brands available, however a Saab technician friend of mine one recommended to peel the rubber boot on any new ball joint, and add a little additional grease in it before installing. At the factory, this is done by machine and in most cases it has only the minimum amount. This was visible the 1st time he showed me. So I think this was good advice, and I just wanted to share it here... Careful with that boot, don't use anything too sharp! Good luck.
