Some issues, but... ...none insurmountable.
Motor mounts will be the first issue. Front one isn't too bad, you just need a front cover off of an earlier (pre-hydraulic motor mounts) trans, but be careful - some of them would leave a gaping hole in a later tranny. Side motor mounts... There actually was one year of the 16v motor that had regular rubber motor mounts in the back... 84 or 85, I think... So the parts are out there, even if they are rare as hens teeth. Otherwise, you'll need to drill new holes for the hydraulic mounts.
Obviously the electrics would be an issue, unless you were planning to put K-Jet on the 16v motor. Starter is on the other side of the motor, so that's more wiring to fix up.
If you're going to put in the LH, you'll probably need all the fuel lines & tank from a 16v car.
You'd have to mix and match some shifter parts to get a good setup, too.
Oh, and you will want to be changing the front axles (tripod bearing through brake rotor, including steering knuckle) for the later style (and if I were to do this today, I'd go straight to the 88- brakes & wheels...). Ventilated brakes are very nice to have...
And if it keeps a 5D 900 on the road, go for it!
