Help.
I have a factory 1991 non-turbo Airflow 2.1, 2.4.2 that I love.
1991 2.1 900S B212I nonTurbo 16v LH 2.4.2

Trying to isolate the true problem for my car. I have the Bentley book and do great repairs...I'm on my 5th Saab.
Car idles like a mustang hot rod...fuffity, fuffity, fuffity...tries to bog down under load, and feels like it misses once in a while when i hold it at high rpm. wants to die but keeps running rough. Almost feels like timing is retarded on acceleration...and bucks and jumps if i hold at any single rpm, instead of just holding steady.
I already know i need engine mounts...but that's not causing this..
I also need an axle replaced...but that's also not causing this.

By the book...
O2 sensor is good
IACV is good
Changed the fuel pressure regulator
Throttle pos sensor is good
plugs, cap, rotor, distributor are good
cleaned the throttle body
changed all vacuum and vent lines
Mass air meter 4 sec burnout is good
I can't find any place where air is being sucked in unregulated.

Could my catalytic converter being clogged/bad cause this?

Weird question, too, when i hold the rpm at 4000 for about 10-20 seconds, it then "kicks" on its own to 5500 (before i let off)...is this the computer doing something?

I'm at a total loss.
