10 amp isn't a very large fuse and it could have just gotten old and heated over many times and finally blew. Congratulation! The fuse did it's job. When the factory installed it, was probably the last time it was done. This is why it's good from a maintenance point to clean all the grounding point, remove and reinstall all the fuses, clean both ends of the battery cables. Corrosion happens! Basically, the fuse is to protect the wire from burning/melting. Just drive and don't worrie about it.
