91 900 CVT


I hadn't run the car in a week. I went to start it and noticed that the brake pedal went to the floor with some effort. This immediately caught my attention. However, I could not replicate it. I assumed that it might be do to a gradual return to equlibrium between the high pressure ABS pump and the resevoir. No problems for two weeks. No indiciation of braking problems.

Brake light went on.
Yep, it was low, significantly so. My Saab never had a hydraulic leak before. Couldn't find it on the MC. Went through the entire braking system, stem to stern, with no luck. I was concerned. I could not find a leak and there was obviously a problem.

Filled up the resevoir and went to some deserted parking lots. Pedal pressured fine, warning light went off. Put the car through it's paces with increasing performance demands. No problems. No indications of leaks, Very concerned.

Went home, took car apart. No leak from MC, none on any of pipes, relays or calipers.

Next morning there was the content of the reservoir on the floor of the garage. Something somewhere left the party on the MC.

Questions:
New MC is out of the question.
Cannot find rebuild.
Any ideas?
Or is it time for the sweet hereafter?
