well..... I just took the long straight blade screw driver I sometimes use as a lever, about the first 1/2 inch broken off, a 13mm 3/8" driver six point deep reach socket that split, a 3/8" drive ratchet that would not change from forward to reverse, in... and they said go to the shelf and get the replacements. I have had them put the rebuild kit in the ratchet when they had the kit, years ago too, and as long as the handle is ok I'm fine with that, but also when the *didn't* have the kit they give me another ratchet.

Maybe it's because I've been there too much, plus I have grey hair and I don't take any garbage from them. I remind them I started with Craftsman not before they started working there, but before they were born... You may not be able to use that closer... :)

Ask for the Store Manager and then remind them when you purchased it the warranty was free lifetime replacement. If they don't want to live up to their warranty you'd be happy to 1) call the local news station, and 2) tell all your friends on line that they are not living up to their warranty and that *other* tool manufacturers of *less expensive* tools (sold at Lowe's and other places) *are* doing it...

I also purchase odd ball stuff from Kragen, Pep Boys, Auto Zone, and the like. No problems getting a swap on broken stuff at any of those places. Of course they don't sell dryers, dishware, and all of the other items Sears sells, or doesn't sell to me in the future, right?

Gee Mr. Store manager, I'd hate to stop buying anything from Sears....
