decided to adjust the females friends auto shifter as it was a half position off. I had worked on ot relacing the entire carpet etc and had not gotten it right the first time. With seats carpet and heater ducting still in place it was UGLY getting those two front bolts back in. Finally I used some 45 # thread tied near the top of bolt with thread placed up through the hole. Also put some of that ribbon type black sealer at base of bolts so when i Got the bolt positioned I could press the bolt up with my finger and the bolt stayed in place. It took about 1 hour of messing with the bolts dropping them fishing them out with amagnet before this idea worked in about 10 minutes. Saabs rule but those design people are not mechanic friendly . a simple press type washer would have helin in place. If there ever is a next time I will tie the thread on the bolt right below the star nut when removing. Oh, the hassle was worth it as the shift position is perfect.
