That's usually the first place to look.
Other than that, what you need to do is connect an ammeter in series between the battery and the car's electronics, usually at the point on the fender where the battery cable runs to.
While you have this set up, DO NOT start the car, or try to run the blowers/defogger/fans/headlights, or you might watch your meter go up in smoke.
Alternately, you could try a clamp-on ammeter on the battery cable, but I don't know how low a current they will work with.
Check to see how much current is being drawn. Now, start removing fuses, until the current drops off. That's the circuit your problem is on. Time to get out the Bentley's or Haynes, and follow that circuit!
