Dizzy hall sensor wiring

I am trying to fix a "bucking when warm" issue with my 90 900 S. I changed out the dizzy for one with a hall sensor thinking the problem might be the hall sensor at the crank pulley. The problem of "bucking" still exist but it is "different". I hate intermittent problems.
In installing the dizzy with hall sensor I discovered I had the oval hall sensor plug but there were only two wires not thress in the harness, and the several harnesses I had only had the 2 wires. I did have another dizzy with square plug in with 3 wires , but have also used and installed on other cars the oval plug in with 3 wires. 1. Why is there a difference in the wiring (# of wires)? 2. Where can I get the 3 wire harness in oval and square plug in?
