Since the AMM works on ambient air temperatures, I would lean towards the AMM controlling temperature possibly being off . I think remembering the the unit has to keep the hot wire at 230 degrees, and what ever the outside air temperature is, the measured voltage applied to maintain 230 degrees is how the AMM works. My memory of the control temperature could be incorrect, but you get the meaning! Some AMM can be adjusted and others are factory set without an adjustment screw. At terminal 3 and 6 on the AMM, you should see at least 380 ohms for the base setting. If you running lean and the air temperature increases, the fuel should become richer due to less air density of hotter air.You could be running too lean.
