Funny, we have 7 Saabs and one 944 as well. Our 944 is an 84. Currently not running (very typical statement I've found for 944's, especially the early ones). The issue I've been struggling with relate to speed and reference sensors. Hoping to get that sorted out soon. Also issues with clutch slave and master which is another problem spot for these cars.
Real important to maintain your timing belts. Broken ones are the leading cause of deaths for these cars.
But they are fun to drive - very go-cart like. And great track cars if you are into autocross.
