As long as the pressure plate fits up with the pegs on the flywheel, you're fine... There were different versions of the clutch/pressure plate on different years...
As for the tool used to compress and keep the teeht bent in, I found it useful to use a section of RCA cable wire (TV wire) for the new one. I used the weight of the car, pushing down on the release bearing that was set up top of the teeth, to push it down to get the wire in there.
