to get smth bolted on or off you'd better pull the wrench since in this case you get more torque. Besides it's safer you should remember that a man can pull more then his weight but can't push more then his weight.
Nevertheless it was a shout about my sockets I tired to re-order cause of those monkeys. I've got a nice driver and some good tubing to extend its length so it wasn't about lacking of force but the whole picture itself.
