Seatbelt latches breaking? Posted by Justin VanAbrahams [Email] (#32) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Justin VanAbrahams) on Mon, 8 Jun 2009 14:38:34 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Has anyone else experienced this? The first time it happened I thought it was a funny anomaly... the second time a strange coincidence. But I've just had the third latch on a '90+ seatbelt break, and it's getting annoying. They're hard to find in junkyards, and I've never saved a single one thinking it would never be a problem. Now I'm concerned, as this time around it was the driver's seatbelt in my SPG, and not some transient car in my driveway.
Kinda sad about this, and also ever so slightly concerned that it could happen while the car is in motion. So far it's always happened while inserting the plug, and I think that's the only time it can happen - a small piece of plastic fatigues, and gives up when the latch is activated. Still, WTF?
