Just got a 1993 C900 Turbo stick shift, some old lady had it before me and just drove it around CT. I have to get the rpms up to 4500 to put it into third with some power... 5th gear is worse... im almost at red before its ready to shift up.

I was told that there are ways to fix the boost problem (wastegasket?) but the best route is to just drive the car hard. I'm going to keep putting 93 octane in it along with some fuel cleaner. The car was driven by a Saab dealership owner race car driver and he says its perfect minus the boost problem and a rattling heat shield but yeah. Its hard to get runway space to rev it up that high when you are driving in traffic. And if I dont make it to 5th gear it is hard to recover from that since the car is going so fast.
