But just in case you can troubleshoot it pretty easy, you'll only need a clean hose (clean enough to put it into you mouth). It's electro-magnetic Y-valve having to inputs and a single output. If it's powered off then the output is connected with the 1st input and after you apply DC current to its terminals it connects the output hose to the 2nd input.
1. Mark all the stock hoses that run to this valve
2. Pull the off
3. Connect your clean hose to the nipple that was previously run to the wastegate
4. if you try sucking the air from this hose then there should not be any resistance. But if you block the 1st input hose (eh... either the one that was run to the turbo or another one that was connected with the intake elbow) then there must be no air flow. You must be able to make a constant strong vacuum there.
5. Apply battery DC voltage to the valve's terminals (just run two wires from the valve to battery) and check how it goes with the 2nd input nipple. Refer to step #4.
6. If you can not create a constant vacuum then the APC valve is worn out. Even brand new valve will make some certain clicks under operation, these clicks mean nothing about valve operability. Moreover, if there're no clicks coming out of the valve then you'd check it with multimeter if its coil is ok.
7. Peel off the temp wires and your sucking hose and re-install stock hoses according to labels labeled in #1.
