picked up a used unit from an '84 Turbo today Posted by Saabu [Email] (#1133) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabu) on Mon, 10 Aug 2009 22:16:04 In Reply to: Re: Vented gasoline cap, Saabnutt, Mon, 10 Aug 2009 09:52:12 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
at the PYP here in town. its a more simple version of the 16valve one, with just a one-way check valve to the engine and then the center line bringing fumes from the gas tank.
got me thinking so instead of burrowing in there to swap canisters, i put a one-way valve on the existing canister's signal line and will try that. the large-bore hose is still connected up to the intake but is inoperative, passing no gas either way due to the blown main valve. venting of tank gas will be slower with this setup but oh well.
thanks all for your suggestions til now and in future.
