The OEM seal has one lip, but it is about twice as thick as the recommended replacement oil seal (NAPA 4912). I stacked two of the NAPA oil seals when I did my last one. The ones I did prior with only one seal didn't last as long.
There may be someone else (Anders ?) who can recommend another seal. This one worked for me. It was recommended by a few people.
The hardest part is getting the damn retaining pin out. If you can get the end in a vise with a small socket to accept the pin on one side and a driving pin on the other, tap the driving pin with a wrench or something once it's under some force. I've found that the vibrations help free up the pin. BE SURE TO MARK THE END OF THE SHAFT FOR THE ALIGNMENT OF THE CAM TEETH. The tabs on the cam drive disk are offset to one side of the center line. If you put it back on wrong, timing will be off.
