It's all coming out - does order matter? Posted by ChrisMiami [Email] ![]() ![]() |
Well, pretty soon here it'll be cool enough to get back into the garage.
I have to pull the engine and replace nearly everything related to the suspension: from bearings to bushings, rotors to rubber. I'm also going to be rebuilding master/slave clutch cyls, replacing the radiator and fans and all the vacuum hose is going to be silicone.
If I get real cocky, I may even try swapping in some new synchros!
Here's my big fear: I'll get halfway through and find that the order I did things in is making it 10 times harder than it should be. For example, should I take off the rotors with the driveshafts in place or is it just as much work when they're on the bench?
Is there anything you guys know about that should be high on my list of "do this first or you'll hate yourself later"?
Thanks!
Chris
